Founder & Managing Partner: Jaime Ortegón
Jaime Ortegón brings nearly two decades of experience bridging complex engineering, frontline operations, and enterprise AI strategy. He doesn't just build technology; he builds governed systems designed for high-stakes environments where accuracy and accountability are non-negotiable.
Jaime’s career began at a tech-forward management consultancy, where he guided major oil and gas clients in digitizing and migrating highly regulated, process-critical documents to the cloud. He then spent 14 years driving execution at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, a multi-billion-dollar global enterprise.
Rather than climbing a traditional corporate ladder, Jaime built his expertise in the trenches. He progressed from climbing furnace structure ladders on cold January mornings as a contractor, to process engineering to senior plant operations leadership, directing reliability strategies, leading cross-functional teams of over 140 personnel, and managing multimillion-dollar budgets. His operational leadership was forged in crisis, including coordinating cross-unit recovery efforts to safely restore production following Hurricane Harvey.
Recognizing the gap between frontline friction and executive decision-making, Jaime transitioned to launch and scale the organization's Digital Transformation portfolio. He guided the adoption of AI/ML and cloud-enabled solutions that generated nearly multimillions in annualized benefits, proving that successful AI deployment requires rigorous change management and measurable ROI.
His background spanning the plant floor to the C-Suite informs TX2’s execution-first approach: solving complex problems with tools people genuinely want to use.
Grounded in his Christian faith, Jaime brings an uncompromising standard of integrity, stewardship, and truth to every engagement. Outside of work, Jaime is a husband and father of three, a marathon runner, and an enthusiast of all things Texas BBQ. He brings patience, discipline, and battle-tested operational rigor to every engagement.
